Collembola, or springtails, are tiny organisms that thrive on decaying matter. They are a crucial component of any biologically active vivarium, and work as a clean up crew. They are also, sometimes, one of the sole sources of nutrition for baby frogs and very small, predatory invertebrates.
To see how we dust our springtails (add supplementation powders such as calcium, etc.), please refer to our springtail care sheet.
